Asst Commandant among 4 BSF men killed in Pak firing

JAMMU: India and Pakistan gave the impression poised on the brink of a significant confrontation after the Pakistan Rangers resorted to unprovoked firing and shelling on ahead posts alongside the International Border (IB) in Ramgarh sector of J&Okay’s Samba district that killed 4 BSF personnel, including assistant commandant Jitendra Singh.

Three BSF personnel were injured within the assault through which Pakistan Rangers personnel used mortars and system weapons.

This is the second one ceasefire violation by means of Pakistan after the DGMOs of the two nations agreed on May 29 to “absolutely implement” the border ceasefire settlement of November 2003 in “letter and spirit” to stop border skirmishes in J&Okay.

“This is sheer betrayal and there will be a response,” a senior source within the safety established order stated.

Thousands of border other people in Jammu, Kathua and Samba districts needed to migrate from their properties following heavy shelling from the Pakistan side between May 15 and 23, which left 12 other people, including two BSF jawans and an toddler, lifeless and several other others injured.

After the DGMOs’ assembly, Pakistan once more resorted to unprovoked firing on June 3, killing two BSF personnel, including an assistant sub-inspector. In this spell of firing, 10 persons, mostly civilians, were injured in Pragwal, Kanachak and Khour sectors alongside the IB.
