HYDERABAD: A new of fleet of digital automobiles devoted for garbage collection will quickly hit the streets of Hyderabad. "The existing garbage collection vehicles will be replaced with electronic vehicles in a phased manner. The government is striving hard to make the city pollution-free by taking up various initiatives. Along with GHMC vehicles, around 3,000 vehicles belonging to the state road transport corporation will also be replaced with electronic vehicles," the minister added.
On Friday, the primary batch of 20 electric automobiles for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) might be flagged off. The civic frame, officials stated, has signed an agreement with Energy Efficiency Services Limited (ESSL) to execute the challenge on a pilot basis.
Meanwhile, the two bus shelters opened for public on Thursday are part of the 826 shelters being built in phases by way of the GHMC around the city. Speaking about the transfer, the minister stated that work on those modernised bus stands might be taken up within the subsequent five months and might be accomplished on a Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. As part of this, no financial burden will thrust upon the civic frame, he added.
While some of these shelters - the ones under Grade 1 - will have air-conditioning, others facilities comparable to WiFi, mobile charging issues, bathrooms, ingesting water, cafeteria, reservation counters and many others. might be equipped at most different shelters (Grade 2 and three). The shelters under Grade 4 by myself will have minimal facilities.
