Intel CEO resigns over relationship with employee

NEW DELHI: Intel Corp on Thursday mentioned Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Brian Krzanich has resigned, effective immediately, after a probe revealed that a previous consensual courting with an Intel worker violated company policy.

"An ongoing investigation by internal and external counsel has confirmed a violation of Intel's non-fraternization policy, which applies to all managers," the company mentioned in a commentary.

The board named Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Robert Swan as interim chief executive officer.

Krzanich have been in the function since May 2013.


Intel mentioned its board has begun a seek for an enduring CEO, including both inner and external applicants, and will rent a an executive seek firm to help in the procedure.
