Italian engineer falls to death in Nanjangud

MYSURU: An Italian automation engineer died after he fell at an under-construction web page of a big company in Nanjangud on Thursday.
Mariantonia Telattin, 58, landed on iron rods and angular bars from a height of 10 ft. Although he used to be rushed to a private health center in Mysuru, the wounds he sustained proved too serious, and used to be pronounced dead mins after his arrival. "Telattin was a hefty man, and might have lost his balance while inspecting some equipment. The incident happened on Thursday afternoon," said Nanjangud police.

Telattin's colleague Ernesto Pedretti told the law enforcement officials that they reported at the web page around 9am. "Telattin was working on the controls of packaging materials of the automatic storage and retrieval facility," Pedretti told police.


It used to be when Pedretti and different staff may now not to find Telattin that they went to the primary flooring. They discovered Telattin at the floor.


Telattin used to be part of a team of 3 engineers from M/s Automha Italy, who arrived in Mysuru on May 28. They were in Mysuru to check out the controls of the automated garage and retrieval facility at a paint factory being set up in Nanjangud.


"We learnt about the incident around 10.45pm on Thursday. A case of unnatural death has been filed, and a probe is under way," police said.
