Jamalpur man stabbed over ‘iftar’ post

AHMEDABAD: A youth from Jamalpur house of the town was once stabbed by means of a man over a brawl relating to an allegedly objectionable post on Instagram where he had stated that he had held Iftar and a pal’s birthday party together.
According to the FIR lodged with Gaekwad Haveli police station, the youth, Mohammed Faizan Shaikh, 30, had held the birthday party of his buddy at Jamalpur house of the town and later posted the video of the party on Instagram. After which, one particular person known as Ameer had despatched him a message threatening dire penalties for holding ‘Iftar’ with a birthday party.

Iftar is a spiritual observance of Ramzan and is steadily held with people from the group collecting to break their rapid together.


The grievance reads, “Ameer abused Shaikh and asked him to come back to a tea stall at Jamalpur Pagathiya house. When Shaikh together with his buddies went to the tea stall, Ameer together with his buddies began abusing Shaikh and later began throwing glass plates at him, through which Shaikh’s buddy Nauman and others sustained injuries. As they sustained injuries, they sat there for a while and began walking in opposition to their houses. After some time, when Shaikh and his buddies had been passing by means of Jamalpur Chakla house, Ameer again confronted them and stabbed Shaikh prior to fleeing.”


Shaikh sustained critical injuries on his left ribs and on his back. He was once rushed to Vadilal Sarabhai hospital where he was once admitted to trauma centre. His condition is strong at the moment.


Police have lodged a grievance under IPC sections 326 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by means of unhealthy guns), 294 (obscene acts) and 114 (abetment). The accused particular person is at huge.
