Ludhiana Municipal Corporation to install 200 mobile toilets in Ludhiana

LUDHIANA: Aiming to fulfil the commitment of the state govt to supply a blank surroundings below ‘Tandrust Punjab’ dream venture of chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh, the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation has made up our minds to install 200 mobile toilets in the city’s slum spaces at a value of Rs40 lakh. The state’s biggest civic frame has aimed to claim all 95 wards of Ludhiana Municipal Corporation ‘open defecation-free’ inside a month, for which it has floated tenders for transportable toilets.

According to information, 70 MC wards have already been declared Open Defecation-Free, and the remaining 25 will be lined inside a month. In the places chosen for the venture, a suite of five or extra transportable toilets (gentlemen and ladies) will be placed there. In addition to this, 50 bathroom units can also be constructed in the city below the Smart City venture.


Speaking at the construction, Member of Parliament (MP) from Ludhiana Ravneet Singh Bittu mentioned: “Tandrust Punjab’ will assist to reinforce the state’s air, water quality, and secure meals, through making sure a healthy and congenial surroundings to the voters of Punjab.” He stated that the project would make Punjab the healthiest state in the nation, during which 12 govt departments are running jointly round-the-clock to reach its objectives through working mass awareness drives among other folks in the state. The MP solicited fulsome beef up and maximum participation of other folks in the programme to make the marketing campaign an enormous good fortune.
