AMBALA: The district police have registered a case of fraud the place complainant used to be cheated on the pretext of being sent out of the country.
Dinesh Goud filed a complaint with the Ambala City police station stating that he used to be duped of Rs nine lakh by an accused identified as Basant Lal, resident of Preet Nagar, of Dera Bassi in Mohali district. It used to be alleged that the accused made a false promise of sending him out of the country so that the complainant may set up his trade there.
Dinesh, a resident of Kaith Majri in Ambala City, worked as a scooter mechanic in outdated Civil Hospital road. Inspector Ajit Singh, Ambala City police station in-charge stated, “On Dinesh’s complaint, we have registered a case in opposition to the accused below sections 406 (punishment for legal breach of consider), 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing supply of belongings) and 506 (punishment for legal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
