AIZAWL: No respectable function was once held in Christian-majority Mizoram on the 4th International Yoga Day on Thursday. Church leaders feel that it's “essentially a Hindu non secular practice”.
Only the Assam Rifles observed the day because the concluding day of the ‘Healthy Mizoram Campaign’. The Young Mizo Association and a few other student organisations hostile yoga by way of describing it as a “hidden time table of Hindu organisations like the Sangh Parivar”. People’s Right to Identity and Status of Mizoram Party, in a statement, said it would end imposition of yoga on security body of workers if it involves energy.
