GUWAHATI: A Memorandum of agreement (MoA) used to be just lately signed between Tezpur University (TU) and National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) to build collaborations which will help researchers and entrepreneurs commercialize their home-grown applied sciences. TU registrar Biren Das and H Purushotham, chairman and managing director of NRDC, signed the agreement.

"We have long felt the need to create a conducive atmosphere for industries so that they feel confident to approach academic institutions to find solutions to their problems. Deepening of industry-academia interaction is expected to enhance the quality of teaching and research in the universities, and production and process outputs for the industry," he mentioned.
TUIPR mobile co-ordinator Pritam Deb coordinator mentioned they have been putting in efforts to bridge the divide between industry and academia platform and a countrywide symposium used to be arranged at the issue just lately.
