Noida traffic marshal tries to stop wrongside driving, slapped

NOIDA: A resident of Sector 34 used to be arrested on Thursday afternoon after he slapped a site visitors marshal for objecting to wrongside riding near the gurdwara on Sector 18.

The accused, Arun Kumar (40), has been produced in court and send to judicial custody. His Ford Ecosport has also been seized. Rakesh Singh, site visitors marshal, mentioned he used to be on responsibility near the gurdwara within the afternoon to streamline site visitors movement. “A man in a Ford Ecosport automobile came from Sector 18 on wrong aspect and tried to pressure away against DLF Mall of India. I signalled the driving force to forestall the car as he used to be riding on wrongside and aggravating site visitors movement. The man at the back of the wheels unnoticed my request and ran the car over my foot. I raised an alarm upon which the accused reversed the car. I took out my cell phone to seize the accused and vehicle’s registration quantity, meanwhile the accused got down from the car and slapped me,” he mentioned.


Locals straight away gathered at the spot and nabbed the accused. He used to be later handed over to police.


Manish Saxena, SHO, Sector 20 police station, mentioned a case under Section 279 (rash riding), Section 323 (voluntarily inflicting harm) and 504 (intentional insult to impress breach of peace) of IPC has been registered against the accused. “He used to be produced in court and sent to judicial custody. His automobile has been seized,” he mentioned.


Rakesh Singh, a resident of Sector 4, has been operating as a site visitors marshal for the previous six years.
