ISLAMABAD: Pakistan's former army ruler and dictator Pervez Musharraf has resigned from his political birthday party, a sign he has no quick plans to return home or support his birthday party's bid within the upcoming July elections.
Earlier this week, Pakistan's elections oversight frame rejected Musharraf's candidacy for a possibility to run for a seat in parliament. In his absence, the small All Pakistan Muslim League birthday party has had Mohammad Amjad as appearing president.
Musharraf seized energy in 1999 via ousting former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's govt. In 2008, he was forced to surrender after the birthday party of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto came into energy.
He was declared a fugitive in 2013 and since then has been dwelling in self-exile in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, to avoid arrest on felony charges.
