Pre-monsoon showers hit Atkot, rest of Guj waits

AHMEDABAD: The countdown to the monsoon’s arrival in Gujarat started with portions of Rajkot district getting pre-monsoon showers on Thursday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Gujarat has forecast that light rain and thundershowers will happen at portions of the state on Friday as neatly.

Strong winds accompanied via rain pounded Atkot village, 25km from Rajkot, on Thursday evening. After a blisteringly scorching day, the weather changed and it rained for round 15 minutes. Several large bushes have been uprooted via the robust winds.
