CHANDIGARH: A pupil of an affiliated school of Panjab University (PU) in Ludhiana has accused a sports activities trainer of sexual harassment in a modern controversy to hit the image of the university that is already battered by an identical circumstances of overdue.
The pupil submitted her criticism along side screenshots of her conversation with the trainer to PU vice-chancellor Prof Arun Kumar Grover on May 15.
The complainant has alleged the trainer threatened to destroy her sports activities occupation if she did not agree to be friends with him and pass out with him. “The trainer is harassing me mentally and physically for a long time. He is pestering me to be friends with him and meet him somewhere outside. The trainer is emphasizing that I must stick with him and if I don’t, he's going to destroy my occupation. He is many times calling me up and forcing me to satisfy him somewhere outside. And if I do that, he's going to help me play at international degree since he is the member of the federation,” the complainant alleged in her criticism first of all submitted to the VC, major of her school, president and secretary of the national federation of the sports activities she performs.
According to the criticism, the trainer called her up and threatened her that if she did not agree to what he was once announcing, he would expel her from the school. She has alleged the trainer “has executed this with other ladies as neatly”, however, because of certain circumstances, these ladies have no longer come forward to whinge about him.
“These allegations don’t hang weightage since there was once some false impression, which has been looked after,” mentioned the trainer. Sources mentioned as quickly as the matter was once reported, officials from the Panjab University went to the school in Ludhiana and met the complainant and the accused.
Panjab University Committee Against Sexual Harassment (PUCASH) is looking into the criticism.
