AHMEDABAD: At a time when rumours about kid traffickers are rife, the15-year-old son of a small shop proprietor tried to use the chance through cooking up a story of being kidnapped through kid traffickers. However, he got here directly when police identified the gaps in his story.

The youngster, the son of a barber in Bopal area, had ostensibly run away from home to avoid his mother’s rebuke over not finding out, however had determined to go back, once he learned how his mother could be distressed through his absence.

On Tuesday, the teenager had long gone for his tuition categories in Sterling City, Bopal, on his bicycle after his mother rebuked him for not finding out. Still stung through his mother’s words, he left the bicycle at the tuition categories, and made an attempt to run away from home.

He first boarded a BRTS bus from Bopal to Lal Darwaja in Walled City. After reaching Lal Darwaja, he went to Kalupur railway station and from there boarded a train to Nadiad. He then boarded a train to Mumbai, however after reaching Surat, he determined to go back after understanding how pained his mother could be over his absence, stated I M Gohil, inspector, Bopal police station.

Gohil stated that after the teenager learned his mistake, he known as up his father from Surat railway station and stated that he had managed to run away from the abductors. “He informed his father that some males had pulled him within a automobile through which two kids were already lying tied and gagged. The youngster additionally stated he was once later taken to Kalupur railway station and the abductors wanted to take him to Mumbai, however he had slipped out in their fingers and approached railway police at Surat station,” stated Gohil.


The railway police contacted Bopal police station and the teenager was once passed over to his father on overdue Tuesday night. Sensing one thing suspicious in the story narrated through the teenager, Bopal police known as the teenager and his father to the police station.


“When we questioned the teenager about his alleged abduction, he first tried to narrate the similar story, but when we satisfied him to tell the reality, and exposed some of his lies, he admitted that he had cooked up the story,” stated Gohil.


Gohil stated that youngster’s father runs a hair-cutting salon in Ghuma village and his mother wanted him to check well so that he may achieve good fortune in lifestyles. But this did not go down well with the teenager who tried to escape home.
