ALLAHABAD: Scores of junior doctors (JDs) on Thursday boycotted paintings and OPD services at SRN Hospital of MLN Medical College for greater than five hours to protest in opposition to suspension and alleged harassment of their colleague Dr Pramod Kumar Gupta, who had tried to finish his existence on Wednesday night by consuming napping drugs.
They resumed paintings after Dr Gupta’s suspension was revoked by the scientific school authorities.
Dr Gupta is pursuing MD in medication and took the drastic step outside his place of dwelling at PG Married Hostel at the sanatorium campus. He was admitted to the sanatorium ICU by family members and hostellers where his condition is stated to be solid.
Dr Gupta also wrote a seven-page ‘suicide notice’ sooner than taking the drastic step. “I have been punished for a mistake I have no longer committed. Two of my seniors have pressured me and even threatened to damage my profession,” he wrote within the notice. MLN Medical College foremost Dr SP Singh stated, “During NEET counselling, Dr Gupta insisted with the counselling authorities on filing an old certificate which is in opposition to MCI norms.”
