Army’s ‘Ride to Kargil’ team reaches Belagavi

Belagavi: ‘Ride to Kargil’, a bike expedition organised through the Indian Army and supported through TVS Motor Company reached its first stop of Belagavi on Thursday. The expedition began in Bengaluru on July 2.

To rejoice India’s victory in the Kargil battle, 5 riders from the ‘Shwet Ashwa’ team of the Indian Army have embarked upon a journey to Kargil, Dras. The team will cover three,700 kms in 20 days astride the TVS Apache RTR 200 Fi 4V Race Edition 2.0 and goals to conclude the experience on July 24.


The team which contains Havaldar Jangar Ananda, Naik Shiva Krishna CH, Lance Naik Santosh MK and Lance Naik D Sashikant B, are driving underneath the guidance of Lt Col Vikram Rajebhosale. The experience, which used to be flagged off from Core of Military Police, Centre and School, Bengaluru, will see the riders traversing challenging routes around the country earlier than concluding at Kargil War Memorial, Dras.


From Belagavi, the team will experience to Pune on July four and cover 10 further cities at the approach including Mumbai, Vadodara, Udaipur, Nasirabad, New Delhi, Chandigarh, Manali, Sarchu, Leh and Dras.
