Four persons suffered accidents after the SUV they were travelling via crashed into the railing along Somatne overbridge on Mumbai-Pune Expressway around 6am on Tuesday.
The impact of the twist of fate used to be such that the railing pierced in the course of the vehicle's entrance windshield to return out of its rear, an officer from the Talegaon Dabhade police said.
The twist of fate came about when the auto used to be heading towards Mumbai from Kolhapur. "There were four persons in the vehicle, of which the condition of two is critical, while the other two are out of danger. They are receiving treatment at a private hospital," the officer said.
The police have identified the injured as Amol Patil (39), Shrimant Bhonde (45), Prakash Vaigade (45) and car motive force Suryaji Bhonde (39) from Mira-Bhayander.
A medical officer of the private health facility said Shrimant and Prakash have sustained severe accidents.
