BENGALURU: South East division police on Saturday have arrested five persons who allegedly stole high-end bikes in numerous parts of Bengaluru. All the accused are from Tamil Nadu.
South East DCP Boralingaiah said, a special group was once formed after there were several proceedings about motorcycle thefts in Parappana Agraha, Bandepalya, HSR Layout and in neighbouring areas. The accused are Mohammed Mujahid (24), Mustakin (19), Ishtiyaaq (25), Noor Mohammed (21) and Zulfikar Ali (20).
The police who have been on patrolling flagged of an Ertiga automotive wherein the accused have been touring. The accused said that they have been from Tamil Nadu and had come right here for a day. However, police fell suspicious about their behaviour. Further probe printed that the accused had stolen bikes in Bengaluru.
The police said that they have been ready to seize 15 Royal Enfield bullet, 13 KTM duke, 10 Bajaj Pulsar, 7 Yamaha R-15 and one Honda Shine motorcycle from the accused.
