Coimabtore: A 28-year-old lifestyles convict has allegedly made a bid to dedicate suicide through eating glass pieces at the central jail right here on Thursday. He was admitted to Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH), where his situation was said to be solid.
Saravanakumar, of Boyar Street within the town, was sentenced to lifestyles imprisonment in reference to a double murder case in Erode. According to a jail source, Saravanakumar was a hard inmate. “On Thursday night, he said he has ate up glass pieces to dedicate suicide,” said a jail authority who didn’t want to be named. “Though he didn't have get entry to to such things, we admitted him to CMCH as we didn't want to take chance.”
A CMCH physician said the convict didn’t show any sign of eating glass pieces. “It will motive inside bleeding, however the patient doesn’t have such a factor. He is aware.”
A prison reputable, meanwhile, said they might take an x-ray on Friday morning. tnn
