Hubballi: At least 59 pilgrims from North Karnataka, trapped all through the Amarnath yatra following a landslide prompted by means of heavy rain, had been rescued by means of the Army on Friday.
They are actually protected and likely to go back to their base camp.
Raghavendra Shirahatti, from Baltal base camp, advised TOI that almost 115 folks from Hubballi, Laxmeshwar, Gadag, Hospet and other parts of North Karnataka region left for Amarnath Yatra from Hubballi on a package deal commute arranged by means of Surksha Tours and Travels, on June 26. “On July 2, we reached Amarnath from Delhi. From Baltal base camp to Amarnath shrine cave is set 14km, folks walk, or experience horses or have interaction dolis. “Most of the trapped pilgrims had been from North Karnataka. We also alerted them to rescue our pals trapped along the cave route. Finally, assist came from the Army which launched an operation to clear the route, and rescued all those trapped along the route and they're likely to achieve the bottom camp,” added Raghavendra.
“My mom and I came on the yatra and reached the bottom camp safely on July three since we opted for a doli to discuss with the shrine. All are protected now,” he added.
Deputy commissioner S B Bommanahalli mentioned they have got knowledge that six folks from Sutagatti village of Hubballi taluk were given trapped along the cave route and had been rescued.
