During his Puri discuss with at the instance of Rath yatra on Saturday Pradhan had stated: "Sweeping and keeping clean is a part of our culture. Modiji’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan has connections with the Jagannath culture."
State law minister and BJD spokesperson Pratap Jena criticised Pradhan for his comments and stated he will have to apologise.
“Drawing such comparability is an insult to the Jagannath culture and he will have to apologise for such remarks,” Jena stated.
