DHARWAD: Karnataka Vidyavardhaka Sangha president Patil Puttappa has taken critical exception to leader minister H D Kumaraswamy’s transfer to introduce English as medium of instruction from first standard in government primary faculties.
On Saturday, he mentioned that north Karnataka also got a raw deal in the formation of the cupboard as not one of the prominent leaders from the area has been inducted. “This government has proved that it's only eager about protecting and selling the outdated Mysuru area,” he charged.
He also accused the manager minister of dishing out injustice to north Karnataka in allocation of funds whilst presenting the budget.
He added that if such injustice continues, the call for for separate statehood for north Karnataka would develop louder.
All those problems can be delivered to the notice of JD (S) supremo H D Deve Gowda during his talk over with to Hubballi on Sunday, mentioned Puttappa.
Puttappa instructed the state government to withdraw its proposal to introduce English medium in government primary faculties and mentioned Kannada as a medium of instruction must be obligatory until 5th standard.
“Kumaraswamy must convene a gathering of leader ministers of all states to offer protection to regional languages. He will also invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the assembly and begin steps to offer protection to the mum tongue,” he added
“English must not grow to be the medium of instruction at primary level. I do not believe that learning English is very very important. Some states like Assam, Punjab and Kerala have adopted this coverage. But, Kumaraswamy must not apply the policies of different states blindly and take a look at to put into effect right here.
