Mohit Sharma, son of Shiv Kumar Sharma, a former SSP vigilance, his security guard head constable Harbans Lal and four others had been held guilty by the courtroom on Monday. While pronouncing the quantum of sentence, the courtroom awarded 10 years to Mohit Sharma and four others together with Bhupinder, Ashok, Suresh and Mohd. Meharban whilst his security guard Harbans Lal has been awarded seven years in prison. The courtroom acquitted Gurdiyan Singh, Sukhdev Singh and Amandeep Sharma of all of the charges.
