HUBBALLi: Former high minister and JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda said that injustice was no longer accomplished to north Karnataka in the price range presented through leader minister H D Kumaraswamy.
Gowda told reporters right here on Sunday that former minister H Ok Patil has been accusing Kumaraswamy of doing injustice to north Karnataka. “I wish to ask Patil how much budget he managed to convey for north Karnataka, especially Gadag district. I also urge Kumaraswamy to put up a white paper on the grants released through successive governments to north Karnataka and other portions of the state since 1956. Let him discuss the subject completely in Karnataka assembly for 2 or 3 days and come out with a white paper on how much grants had been released for taking up various construction works, together with irrigation and infrastructure, in north Karnataka,” Gowda said.
The JD(S) supremo said that he's travelling across the state to support the party in the run-up to the elections to the Lok Sabha, zilla panchayat and taluk panchayat. “JD(S) has no longer performed smartly in the elections to assembly. Since Kumaraswamy is leader minister, it's not conceivable for him to excursion the state to support the party. Hence, I’m travelling across the state to organise the party,” he said.
When requested concerning the Third Front in the upcoming elections to the Lok Sabha, Gowda said that Third Front has no longer been shaped yet. “Except NDA, the leaders of all events convened in Bengaluru. There could also be the possibilities of pre-poll or put up poll alliances. Regional events are in good situation in lots of portions of the state,” he said.
Prior to this, after arriving through train from Bengaluru, Gowda visited the house of pro-tem chairman of legislative council, Basavaraj Horatti, and had breakfast. Gowda was served north Karnataka’s popular dish Jowar Roti and chutney. Later, Gowda headed for Belagavi.
