CHANDIGARH: With a total rely of 733, Sonipat district tops the checklist of defaulter VAT dealers, because the Haryana Excise and Taxation Department has uploaded a photograph of 6,091 VAT defaulter dealers within the state, having arrears above Rs5 lakh at the division’s web page. Sonipat is adopted by Panchkula, which has 477 defaulters.
Additional chief secretary, Excise and Taxation, Sanjeev Kaushal, mentioned action have been taken at the directions of Public Accounts Committee (PAC) within the report of CAG 2012-13 underneath Para 2.4.2(i). It was once also desired by PAC that the names of these defaulters must be revealed within the newspapers.
He mentioned a district-wise checklist of 6,091 VAT dealers within the state having arrears above Rs5 lakh have been prepared by the dep.. These integrated 411 dealers in Ambala, 136 in Bhiwani, 206 in Faridabad (East), 252 in Faridabad (West), 404 in Faridabad (North), 130 in Faridabad (South), 481 in Gurugram (East), 275 in Gurugram (West), 350 in Gurugram (North), 317 in Gurugram (South), 185 in Karnal, 125 in Kaithal, 59 in Kurukshetra, 47 in Fatehabad, 179 in Hisar, 295 in Jhajjar, 311 in Jagadhri, 59 in Jind, 67 in Mewat, 26 in Palwal, 188 in Panipat, 31 in Mahendragarh (Narnaul), 138 in Rewari, 83 in Rohtak, and 126 in Sirsa.
