NEW DELHI: Ace India shuttler and global No. 3 PV Sindhu misplaced the summit conflict of the Thailand Open Super 500 in immediately video games to Japan's Nozomi Okuhara on Sunday.
Sindhu misplaced the competition 15-21, 18-21 in 50 minutes towards the eighth-ranked Japanese.
The 2nd seed Indian now has a 5-6 win-loss document towards the fourth seed Okuhara. Sindhu, who defeated Okuhara within the semifinals of Rio Olympics, received the closing meeting towards her at the All England quarterfinals this year.
This was once the third final of the year for the 23-year-old. She misplaced the India Open final towards Beiwen Zhang and the Commonwealth Games final to Saina Nehwal.
Sindhu made it to the general after registering a hard-fought victory over Indonesia's Gregoria Mariska Tunjung on Saturday.
