LONDON: The CEO of German commercial giant Thyssenkrupp on Thursday introduced his resignation, simply days after he hailed the “ancient” merger of the corporate's steelmaking trade with Tata Steel.
In a transfer that came as a surprise, the corporate introduced that Heinrich Hiesinger has asked the Supervisory Board of the corporate to end his mandate as Chief Executive Officer of Thyssenkrupp AG “in mutual agreement”.
Hiesinger mentioned: “Today I knowledgeable the Supervisory Board that I wish to step down from my place as CEO of Thyssenkrupp. I take this step very consciously to allow a elementary dialogue within the Supervisory Board on the way forward for Thyssenkrupp.”
