COIMBATORE: Parents of students, who find out about at the Corporation Girls’ Higher Secondary School at Ranganathapuram within the city, say the college has no proper water facility in its restrooms.
According to them, the placement remains the similar despite a number of representations to college government. Parent of a Class XII scholar said he had taken up the issue with the college government in June first week.
“They had then promised to take measures to rectify the water shortage. But nothing has been achieved thus far,” he said.
The parent, who did not want to be named, said the youngsters were abstaining from using the restrooms within the faculty as there was no good enough water. “Our kids stay within the faculty from 8.30am to 5.30pm. How can they abstain from using the restroom that long? Initially, our children had now not disclosed the issue to us as they feared repercussions at the faculty,” the parent said.
The faculty has 3 restrooms. School management, in the meantime, said water degree in its borewell had long past down, leading to the water crisis. When contacted, a school professional said, “There was water shortage ahead of, however we controlled the placement through getting water from out of doors.”
The faculty government have also petitioned the corporation leader training officer, Ravi, in this regard. When contacted, Ravi said he had won a illustration from the college government. “I have forwarded the issue to the junior engineer and assistant commissioner of the area. They would look into factor and rectify it,” he said.
The corporation leader training officer said they also have plans to connect a pipeline from a borewell close by to the college’s water connection. “Earlier, we had achieved the similar to any other corporation faculty, which complained of water shortage,” Ravi further said.
