The programme was set up with the central intention of decreasing child diet rates and lengthening household earning of poor farmers.
Under the Girinka type, one cow brings diet, sustenance and employment, providing a solid income for a circle of relatives. In addition, it serves as a supply of soil nutrients via manure to lend a hand in small scale cropping task.
Till date more than 2,03,000 households have benefited from the programme.
