Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been asked to mobilize further manpower, boats and helicopters to scale up the rescue and reduction operations. Food packets and consuming water are also being rushed.

Indian Navy, as part of its Operation Madad, has scaled up its operation to fulfill the expanding requests for rescue from extra portions of flood-hit Kerala. Southern Naval Command (SNC) rescue groups have been augmented through Gemini boats, divers and other assets from both Eastern and Western Naval Commands of the Indian Navy.
On the tenth day of Operation Madad, which was August 18, a total choice of diving groups deployed is 72, that have been disbursed to a couple of locations. Eight newly inducted groups were despatched out to various locations to reinforce the ones already in position. 42 groups with one Gemini boat each and every are deployed in Ernakulam district at various places.
So some distance over 50,000 people have been rescued in different portions of the state. Over 3.53 lakh affected persons have been lodged in over 2,000 reduction camps.
