The airline had this Tuesday paid the basic salaries of July. But for pilots, elementary wage represents 30 in keeping with cent in their total pay and flying allowance is the main part.

“All the employees of Air India together with pilots have won the wage on August 14, 2018. As you're already mindful the wage of a pilot in AI handiest constitutes 30% of the overall package. Every month we're being overlooked while the company can pay the remainder of the employees in complete and does no longer pay flying allowance to pilots and cabin group which forms the main part of our total income,” says a letter through the Indian Commercial Pilots' Association (ICPA, union of erstwhile Indian Airlines’ pilots) despatched to the airline management on Thursday.

“In our previous written conversation, we have now requested the management to be in contact the prolong in payments, if any, and not to separate flying allowance from wage. We wish to inform you ‘if the flying allowance isn't paid in an instant we will not be to be had to the company for flying tasks’. Since the company has paid the wage we will be able to report back to the workplace for any workplace accountability of our experience instead of flying tasks,” the latter adds.

“We expect a good confirmation on the subject matter failing which we will be able to be compelled to direct our individuals not to record for flying tasks and handiest management must be held responsible in case of any disruption of flights. We sincerely hope, the pilots of Air India get independence from wage and flying allowance delays,” says the letter.
