BHOPAL: Senior IPS officer Mayank Jain has been given a compulsory retirement by the Ministry of home affairs (MHA). State home division won order on Thursday.
Sources in the house division stated a proposal used to be sent by the state govt for this a few months in the past.
"MHA's action comes in wake of an inquiry file submitted by the state govt, stated an officer wishing anonymity.
The 1995 batch IPS officer used to be suspended by the chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in June 2014 - round 15 days after Lokayukta raids led to the seizure of asset documents allegedly disproportionate to known sources of source of revenue. Jain argued that Lokayukta had overlooked the basic ideas of natural justice whilst carrying out the raids and also stated that he used to be condemned unheard.
He has challenged Lokayukta's action earlier than competent court and matter is below trial. Jain claims that his every asset is accounted for.
The home division claims Jain used to be given a compulsory retirement at the basis of Lokayukta file on their initial findings after raids.
Lokayukta officers alleged his belongings include drug stores and nursing houses in Bhopal and Rewa, which is 250% higher than his actual source of revenue. They also stated raids at Jain's rented home at Riveara Township in Bhopal and different premises at Ujjain, Rewa, Indore, and Khargone unveiled crores of unaccounted wealth in fixed deposits, insurance policies, jewelry, and immovable property.

At least Rs 19 lakh in money used to be seized from his father's house in Rewa whilst Rs 90,000 in money used to be confiscated from his home.
An orthopedic surgeon, Jain joined the Madhya Pradesh police in 1995 and used to be posted as IG in community policing unit at that time.
