Sunil Gavaskar to skip Imran Khan’s oath-taking

MUMBAI: Batting legend Sunil Gavaskar has mentioned that he'll no longer attend Pakistan’s World Cup-winning captain Imran Khan’s oath-taking ceremony as the PM on August 18. Imran has also invited former India cricketers Kapil Dev and Navjot Singh Sidhu for the function. Both, it’s learnt, have accredited Imran’s invitation and are waiting for government’s clearance to head for the development.


Imran and Gavaskar confronted each different on the cricket flooring a number of occasions all over the 1980s and 90s as the captains of their respective groups, and feature been excellent pals through the years.
