ISTANBUL: The head of Turkey's major nationalist celebration has introduced it would possibly not pass forward with an electoral alliance it had solid with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's ruling celebration.
Speaking Tuesday in parliament, Devlet Bahceli of the Nationalist Movement Party, or MHP, stated it will field its own applicants within the March 2019 native elections.
The cut up with the ruling Justice and Development Party comes amid conflict over an amnesty for certain prisoners that the nationalists have proposed.
"We will now chart our own path. We do not plan to ally," Bahceli stated as his lawmakers cheered.
MHP was a key a part of Erdogan's electoral alliance on this summer season's parliamentary and presidential elections. Erdogan's celebration failed to achieve parliamentary majority and will have to rely on the nationalist lawmakers.
