BENGALURU: The Karnataka unit of the BJP on Thursday blamed the caste and cash factor for party's drubbing within the recently-concluded by-polls in Shivamogga, Mandya and Ballari Lok Sabha seats together with the Ramanagara and Jamakhandi assembly seats.
Soon after the BJP legislature party and core committee assembly, party spokesperson and state normal secretary Arvind Limbavali stated the losses within the by-elections have been mentioned in detail.
“During the course of the discussions, it was once identified that the ruling party gained the by-polls purely on cash energy and caste politics,” he stated.
At the assembly, the legislators are stated to have conveyed that the party backing for the BJP applicants was once minimal with little or zero investment given to Jamakhandi, Ramanagara or Mandya.
In contrast, for the Shivamogga seat, it was once observed because the party president BS Yeddyurappa having put his complete efforts into ensuring the victory for his son, BY Raghavendra.
“None of the MLAs or leaders raised the problems over who was once responsible for the losses, and decided to present a unified entrance,” stated a party worker.
However, it's stated Yeddyurappa individually addressed the issue of the Ramanagara debacle wherein the party respectable candidate L Chandrashekar withdrew at the ultimate moment and joined the Congress.
Party resources stated Yeddyurappa blamed Chandrashekar for “again stabbing” him and the BJP after he had individually welcomed him into the party fold.
On the other finish, the Ballari loss was once blamed purely on the factor that party leader and Valmiki strongman B Sreeramulu didn't “spend enough” to retain the BJP seat and get his sister J Shantha elected.
The BJP legislators stated it was once primarily the consolidation of the Vokkaligas in south Karnataka and the divide in Valmiki community in Ballari that favoured the Congress and resulted within the losses for the party.
Sreeramulu didn't attend Thursday's assembly as a result of him taking a “destroy” in Dubai.
Meanwhile, Limbavali attempted to melt the blow within the public area by claiming that BJP if truth be told had lost just one seat which it had held sooner than the by-polls.
It is said the state BJP leadership is taking a look against a course correction forward of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and salvage its pleasure after a disastrous 2018.
At the meetings it was once mentioned that there was once an instantaneous wish to get their party cadre in line, as none had spent enough time or effort to verify victory for its applicants.
Six BJP groups to tour drought and flood hit districts
Yeddyurappa announced that as an effort to ramp up the attack on the ruling coalition over the federal government’s lack of management, it has decided to send six groups of it own legislators to collate information and knowledge on the drought and flood-hit districts within the state.
“This apart, on December 10, inaugural day of the winter session in Belagavi, the BJP will probably be conserving a farmers rally opposite the Suvarna Vidhana Soudha,” stated Yeddyurappa.
Of the six groups of legislators, 5 groups headed by Jagadish Shettar, KS Eshwarappa, Kota Srinivas Poojari, R Ashoka and Union minister Ramesh Jigajinagi will probably be visiting the drought-effected areas while the ultimate workforce headed by another Union minister DV Sadananda Gowda together with three other MPs will probably be taking stock of the Kodagu flood devastation.
“All those groups will probably be collating the data and input to spot the state executive lacunaes in addressing the relaxation measures against folks suffering from drought and floods within the state,” stated BJP state normal secretary Arvind Limbavali.
