AIZAWL: After two days of picketing across the workplace of Mizoram leader electoral officer SB Shashank, the NGO Coordination Committee on Wednesday called off its protest after the Election Commission (EC) summoned Shashank to New Delhi and set up a panel to inspect its calls for.

“The EC has accepted the wide contours of the solution of Mizoram’s NGO Coordination Committee,” a statement issued by way of Pawan Diwan, EC under-secretary, stated on Wednesday. Jharkhand leader electoral officer, Lalbiaktluanga Khiangte, a Mizo, can be a part of the panel.
