Tirupur: The state govt has issued a tender realize inviting bids to execute the Athikadavu-Avinashi groundwater recharge and consuming water scheme.
As per the tender notification, applications might be available between November 30 and January 22, 2019, at the administrative center of the superintending engineer (special scheme), public works department (water sources organization), Avinashi circle. Eligible companies must publish their filled-in applications ahead of 3pm on January 23. On the similar day, the winner might be decided on.

A captive solar power station with a 30MW capability might be established to offer electricity for the purpose.
The undertaking aims to offer water for irrigation to drought-prone areas in Coimbatore, Tirupur and Erode districts. It would feed 32 PWD irrigation tanks, 42 panchayat union tanks and 971 ponds in Annur, Avinashi, Tirupur, Sulur, Nambiyur and Perundurai blocks. As many as 24,468 acres of agriculture land will get pleasure from the scheme, which may also function consuming water source.
