Despite receiving proceedings about failings of its bicycle scheme, the State Government has determined to retain the scheme and get started inquiry into the faults to streamline the process.

Karnataka spends round Rs. 185 crore on loose distribution of bicycles for presidency faculty scholars every year, but the scheme has been plagued by means of delays and high quality issues.

This year too, distribution of cycles used to be behind schedule due to the problems with issuing of comfortable and finalising at the paintings order.

These issues were mentioned on Tuesday with Chief Minister of Karnataka HD Kumaraswamy who has now asked the officers to forestall the distribution and the payments for the bicycles.

A senior reputable from the government stated, “When the discussion came up, the CM asked the officers to begin an inquiry concerning the high quality of the cycles being dispensed as of now.
