Surat: Police arrested six Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) participants from town for his or her alleged involvement in numerous circumstances of rioting, torching of a BRTS bus and blackening of a BJP poster. The arrests were made in Sarthana and Puna police stations in offences registered in August and November.
Police arrested Dharmik Malaviya for his alleged involvement in blackening of posters of BJP leaders on November eight. To check in protest towards the political party, the accused had blackened the faces of the leaders in the posters.
Other accused Mahendra Baldha, Mulaik alias Mano Nashit, Tushar Kachhadiya, Yogesh Kumbhani and Aakash Vataliya were arrested for rioting and torching of a BRTS bus on August eight. The offence was registered in Sarthana police station. Police will produce the accused in court docket on Thursday. tnn
