KOLHAPUR: Eight persons had been seriously injured after a small iron bridge collapsed in Kharoshi village, 40 km clear of Mahabaleshwar in Satara district on Sunday.
The incident happened when the villagers had been passing through the bridge to achieve a crematorium near river to accomplish ultimate rites on a 95-year-old girl from the village. All the injured had been admitted at a local clinic for treatment.
