BDJS-BJP ties sour over Sabarimala, Women’s Wall

Thiruvananthapuram: All isn't smartly inside NDA in Kerala. Tribal leader C Okay Janu has nearly taken her political outfit Janadhipathya Rashtriya Sabha to the doors of LDF and the BDJS may be drifting away from commonplace minimal programmes.

The BDJS leaders have been conspicuous through their absence within the Ayyappa Jyothi arranged through Sabarimala Karma Samithi, with active improve of BJP. When his attention used to be drawn to the visual indifference the BJDs has been appearing towards programmes, BJP state president Sreedharan Pillai said he used to be no longer accountable to speak on behalf of BDJS. “They are a distinct political birthday party. They will have their own programmes and decisions,” Pillai said.

Resentment is brewing throughout the BJP in opposition to the chilly reaction of BDJS towards Sabarimala factor. Though BDJS president Thushar Vellappally had pledged improve to devotees, the BDJS by no means took section in any Sabarimala-related protest programmes. The BDJS has taken a stand that the Women’s Wall programme being arranged through the state govt on January 1 is purely an match to rekindle the renaissance values and it has no reference to the Sabarimala factor. The BDJS, Thushar had said, used to be with devotees, but unlike BJP, it could no longer be plunging into direct protest. But such a stand appears to be unpalatable to the BJP rank and report.

Clarifying the BDJS stand, Thushar in a video posted on social media said, “The SNDP Yogam and BDJS have already declared that we are with devotees. We are in opposition to ladies within the age crew of 10-50 years getting into the temple. It’s no longer right to mention that BDJS workers have stored out of Ayyappa Jyothi programme. Several of our workers have participated in it”.

Thushar said SNDP Yogam’s determination to participate within the Women’s Wall must be observed as a noble gesture towards a request made through leader minister Pinarayi Viajayan.
