LUDHIANA: A girl and her daughter had a narrow escape when the car they had been travelling in fell into the Sidhwan Canal in South City on Saturday morning.
A tyre of the vehicle burst, swerving the vehicle out of regulate, which flew over the facet railing of the road and fell into the canal. Geetu Malhotra, a resident of Victoria Enclave in South City, and her seven-year-old daughter, Sumaria, had been headed for a parent-teacher assembly at Sat Paul Mittal School when the coincidence took place close to Badewal Bridge.
