Swachhata Abhiyan's fourth shramadan ensures a clean Kudroli-Alake area

MANGALURU: Fourth shramadan of Ramakrishna Mission’s Swachhata Abhiyan used to be performed at Kudroli-Alake house on Sunday. Dr Jeevaraj Sorake, MD, SCS Hospital and Madhuchandra Adyanthaya flagged off the shramadan. Dr Sorake said, “Cleanliness is a fundamental essential in each individual and collective lives. Ramakrishna Mission is taking part in a vital role within the society by leading such actions for the benefit of the society from the entrance.”


Shramadan used to be flagged off near Alake bridge and volunteers had been divided into 4 groups. Volunteers wiped clean the roads and footpaths leading towards Kudroli Temple. Another staff wiped clean the entrance of Kudroli temple and road leading towards Mannagudda and adjacent footpaths. Other two groups wiped clean the realm from Alake bridge towards Car Street. Two black spots recognized the place other people used to clutter had been totally wiped clean.


Volunteers removed posters stuck on the walls and after cleansing the walls, embellished it with horny art works. Spot near Alake Bridge on the aspect of the street leading towards Bunder used to be an eyesore for passers-by with concrete pipes, rubbish, development particles, lots of mud and stone strewn nearby. Volunteers using earth excavators and tippers organized the concrete pipes in a nook and removed lots of rubbish, sand and stones from the realm.
