Deer skin, antlers worth Rs 47 lakh found in car, three held

THANE: Deer skin and antlers value over Rs 47 lakh have been seized from 3 youths from Amravati who had come to Mumbra to promote them, the police stated.


The trio—Mohammad Saudagar (27), Shaikh Tousif Sheikh Nasir (22) and Rizvan Ahmed Rajik Ahmed (23)—are suspected to have killed the animal somewhere in the wooded area area in Amravati in the hope of earning money via selling the buckskin and the antlers.


The police stated they have been alerted concerning the 3 “poachers” who have been carrying the contraband and the officers arrange a dragnet for them near Global Park locality. The police had learnt that the accused have been on their method from Shil Phata to Mumbra.


The automotive by which the accused had come used to be intercepted via the police who carried out a physical take a look at which led to the restoration of a buckskin and an enormous inventory of antlers. The police stated that 11antlers had been recovered all over the raid. The police have confiscated the auto by which the seized items have been transported packed in jute and plastic luggage and have been stacked in the automotive boot.
