GANDHINAGAR/AHMEDABAD: On Wednesday, Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti(PAAS) leader Hardik Patel and his crew met leader of opposition (LOP) within the Assembly and senior Congress birthday party leader, Paresh Dhanani, in quest of the Congress birthday party’s toughen for a Patidar quota in Gujarat within the line of the Maratha quota in Maharashtra. The Congress, quite than batting for an unique Patidar quota, desires 20% quota for all non-reserved castes, stated Dhanani.
With Hardik projecting that Congress had agreed to his calls for, when requested Dhanani stated, “It could also be his (Hardik’s) version.” Hardik,who has been leading the Patidar quota stir since 2015, stated that all the non-reserved castes together with Patidars must be given reservation advantages.
When requested whether or not Hardik’s demand for a Maratha-like quota for Patidars will obtain Congress toughen in Gujarat, Dhanani reiterated, “Our state and nationwide leadership has proposed 20% reservation for all general castes together with Patidar, Brahmin, Baniya, Lohana and others, however we don't seem to be supporting a quota demand meant only for a particular caste.”
On his phase, Hardik stated, “I have put my proposal ahead of the LOP to press for reservation for all non-reserved castes. But I insisted that there should be separate quota for each non-reserved caste in proportion to their inhabitants proportion.
