HUBBALLI: The much expected in depth care units (ICU) at taluk hospitals within the district will get started functioning within a fortnight.
There used to be a requirement from the general public to ascertain ICUs at taluk hospitals.

According to the data equipped through the dept, ICUs had been established at the price of Rs 90 lakh. Due to unavailability of ICUs, taluk hospitals used to send a significant bite of sufferers to the district hospital in Dharwad or KIMS Hospital in Hubballi.
District health officer Dr R M Doddamani mentioned sufferers from rural spaces have to head all of the way to Dharwad or Hubballi in quest of important care. With ICUs at taluk hospitals, the affected person can also be handled there itself. These ICUs may have a telemedicine facility, which might be an added receive advantages for sufferers. Doctors on the taluk hospitals can seek consultants’ opinion and treatment for the affected person with this facility, he added.
