Rajkot: A four-day-old toddler boy, who was once allegedly branded through his grandmother in Khakhravel village of Paddhari taluka in Rajkot a week ago, succumbed in Rajkot Civil Hospital on Thursday evening. The Paddhari police officials have registered case of unintentional dying and begun investigation.
The deceased toddler was once born to couple Lakshmi Singhla and Indersinh Singhla on December 21. The child was once discharged from the health facility the same day.
But the kid didn't pass stool for four days. Seeing bloated stomach, his grandmother Gajra branded him with some iron needle, thinking that there was once some gastric trouble. When the situation of the kid didn't beef up, his father took him to the health facility. The docs found that the boy had problem in passing stool.
According to the police the kid had minor burn injuries so it’s tricky to say at this level that he died of branding.
