MANGALURU: In order to compete with personal bus services, the KSRTC has decided to reduce 10 in line with cent within the current fares in all buses, together with premier buses like Volvos and Rajahamsa buses. The rates have come into effect from Wednesday.
Across state
Deepak Kumar M, division divisional controller, Mangaluru, mentioned that that rates can be slashed around the state. The corporation has agreed to the proposal submitted by the Mangaluru divisional place of job to compete with personal bus services within the district.
Deepak added that all over the height season, which is from December 21 to January 15, the prevailing fares will continue.
However, after January 16, the fares can be diminished until March 30.
