They also submitted a memorandum to the district magistrate difficult that the order be withdrawn because it was “not in accordance with the regulation.”
However, district magistrate Ritu Maheshwari refused to take again her order and stated the ban on registries of illegal colonies would remain.
“The administration’s over-dependence at the GDA-submitted listing of so-called illegal and unauthorised colonies backfired when the advance company had to revise the listing in which a lot of illegal colonies were brought down from 321 to 200,” stated Brahmpal Singh Veerbhan, secretary, tehsil bar affiliation. “The explanation why cited was that the GDA’s listing was ambiguous and was bereft of proper addresses and other main points pertaining to these illegal colonies. However, the same downside exists within the revised listing of 200 colonies. So we demand that the order be taken again,” stated Veerbhan.
The protesters also drew the eye to registration handbook which clearly says that the stamp and registration department cannot refuse registration of any property as it is not their activity to test the validity of the documents brought for registration. “The stamp and registration department or even the district magistrate has not been mandated to scrutinise the validity of documents offered right through the time of registries and yet such an order has been handed via district magistrate,” stated Veerbhan.
Ever because the order on December 4, the lawyers and deed writers were on protest and feature boycotted the paintings.
“The reason of such an order is to test mushrooming of illegal colonies within the city and this is in greater public hobby. There isn't any way the order may well be revoked at this degree,” stated an legit from the district administration.
