One week since Bangalore Mirror broke the tale (Nov 19) on how deserted automobiles have been inflicting traffic jams, and have been attracting snakes and threatening reptiles within the undergrowth, police have cracked down on these automobiles.

Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara had said that he was satisfied that Bangalore Mirror had thrown light on the issue and gave his assurance that the problem could be fixed soon.
